This garage was renovated to be Harleywood Studios for the production of videos for marketing & training purposes
This six story building was constructed in several phases during the early 1900's. It was built to house factory & office for Harley Davidson. In 1990, under new ownership, H-D chose Steigerwald Construction to renovate this historic building for their headquarters. With 33,000 square feet on each floor, it would accommodate over one thousand employees.
Because the building was heavily occupied, the renovation work was completed in many phases throughout the 1990's. There were 460 separate projects in all, totaling over $13 million dollars. All the projects were done on a design-build basis, with Steigerwald Construction acting as both engineer-of-record and builder. The Jordan Berman Company acted as space planner & interior designer for floors 2-6. The interior design for the first floor projects was by The Kubala Washatko Architects.
This 1st floor space was formerly a machine shop renovated to office.

Your choice of Steigerwald for the contractor was an excellent decision. They were a pleasure to work with, professional, knowledgeable and concerned with our satisfaction. The whole lengthy project was overall very smooth and well organized. Thanks from all of us in Service."
